Presentation Guidelines for the participants
Talks
For an oral presentation (talk), please keep in mind the following points:
• Each talk should last 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussion. Please make sure that you deal with the time limit.
• You will be provided with media (PC for Power Point presentation, projector).
• Please note that we cannot offer Xeroxing facilities so you may want to bring enough handouts (about 60-70).
Guidelines for PowerPoint presentations:
• Use Unicode fonts.
• Try not to broadly use unusual fonts or animated charts and images.
• Produce your presentation on a PC (rather than a Mac) as we will be using PCs at the conference.
• Bring a copy of your presentation with you on a CD or USB memory.
Posters
For a poster presentation, please keep in mind the following points:
• There will be 1 poster session on the day of the conference during which authors can present their research work.
• Each poster session will last 1 hour. Authors are kindly requested to stand near their poster throughout the poster session.
Mounting and arranging materials:
• Each author will be assigned an A0 size (841 x 1189 mm) poster board (portrait).
• Use of one large sheet of paper is preferred.
• The paper title, author (s), and affiliations should be indicated in heading at the top of your poster.
• The title line(s) should be readable from at least 2 meters away. Use an appropriately sized font.
• Posters will be mounted on the poster board with sell tape, which will be provided.
Illustrations and layout:
• Rely sparingly on printed text; graphs, charts, tables and pictures should be used to communicate information where possible.
• Focus selectively on major findings.
• Simple use of color can add effective emphasis.
• You might like to consider providing a handout or preparing a sign-up sheet for delegates who request additional information.
